A single digital file — a PDF poster of the moon's phase on each anniversary of one date you choose, whichever date is precious to you — supplied in A4 and US Letter. It is a download. Nothing is posted to you and there is no physical product.
It costs $14.99 during the launch period, and $19.00 after that. Whichever it is, the price is shown to you before you pay and charged once. There is no subscription, no account, and nothing to cancel.
Within 14 days of buying, email hello@moonportrait.com and I will refund you in full. Any reason at all, or none — it won't print, it looks wrong, you changed your mind. You do not have to explain and you can keep the file.
After 14 days I no longer refund a purchase. The window has to end somewhere, and two weeks is long enough to open a file and print it.
That limit does not apply to something being broken. If your file won't open, won't print, has a name rendered wrongly or the wrong dates on it, tell me however long it has been and I will fix it or refund it. A fault is mine, and it does not expire.
Before you buy, both pages are shown to you with your own name and dates already on them, so nothing about the file should be a surprise.
It is yours. Print it as many times as you like, at any size, frame it, give it away, put it on a wall in a shop. The only thing I ask is that you don't resell the file itself as a product of your own.
Phases are computed from the standard abridged lunar series in Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms and checked against the US Naval Observatory's published phase times, where the worst disagreement I measured across forty reference events from 1920 to 2099 was 0.03 degrees. Each moon is drawn for 12:00 UTC on the date in question, because the phase drifts slightly over a day.
It is decorative artwork, not a navigational instrument. Please don't use it to plan a landing.
This is a small thing run by one person. I will keep it online as long as I reasonably can, but I can't promise it will be here forever — so download your file rather than relying on the link.
