It costs $5.00, charged once. There is no subscription, no account, and nothing to cancel.
If you are unhappy with it for any reason at all — it won't print, it looks wrong, you changed your mind — email hello@moonportrait.com and I will refund you in full. You do not have to explain and you can keep the file.
I would rather refund a stranger than argue with one.
It is yours. Print it as many times as you like, at any size, frame it, give it away, put it on a wall in a shop. The only thing I ask is that you don't resell the file itself as a product of your own.
Phases are computed from the standard abridged lunar series in Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms and checked against the US Naval Observatory's published phase times, where the worst disagreement I measured across forty reference events from 1920 to 2099 was 0.03 degrees. Each moon is drawn for 12:00 UTC on the date in question, because the phase drifts slightly over a day.
It is made with care, but it is a keepsake, not a navigational instrument. Please don't use it to plan a landing.
